I also have the same problem. Dell Vostro 1000 with Radeon Xpress 200 graphics card. So its not just Intel graphics, either. The answer is ALWAYS 42.

Last odd thing, I've tried to change the registry entries for direct3d, but it isn't listed at all under Current User/Software/Wine/. The directory doesn't even exist. (Sorry for the triple post!) The answer is ALWAYS 42.

Success. Had to purge all graphics drivers from the system and reinstall the ati ones, then reconfigure the xserver. FPS is crap, station isn't loading, and icons are missing, but I'm at least ingame haha The answer is ALWAYS 42.
